At IQExamFree, our goal is to provide a reliable and educational self-assessment tool. Our methodology is rooted in the principles of psychometrics and focuses primarily on measuring Fluid Intelligence (Gf). Learn more on our dedicated methodology page.
Core Cognitive Domains
Our 18-minute assessment is divided into three distinct categories designed to challenge different areas of the brain:
Abstract Reasoning
Based on matrix patterns, this section measures your ability to identify rules and relationships without prior knowledge.
Numerical Logic
Tests your quantitative reasoning through sequence identification and logical progression of numbers.
Spatial Visualization
Evaluates your ability to mentally rotate shapes and understand multi-dimensional relationships.
The Scoring Algorithm
Unlike simple quizzes, our algorithm takes into account not just the number of correct answers, but also the difficulty curve of the 30 questions. Full details are available on our methodology page.
- Time Constraint: The 18-minute limit is designed to measure processing speed.
- Difficulty Scaling: Questions progress from foundational to complex, similar to standardized clinical formats.
- Normalization: Your raw score is compared against an internal database to provide an estimated IQ deviation. See our IQ score chart to interpret your result.
Note: While our test is designed for high accuracy in an online setting, it is an estimation. For official results, we always recommend proctored assessments like the WAIS-IV or Cattell III B. Read our educational disclaimer for full context.
